The 1963 season
marked the final year that Stan Musial took the field for the
St. Louis Cardinals. Musial made his 20th consecutive
All-Star Game appearance and finished his career as the all time
hit leader in the National League, collecting 3,630 hits in his
22 year career. Musial's mark would later be eclipsed by
all time hit leader Pete Rose.  |
